Inference
The process of an AI model generating outputs (predictions, text, or decisions) based on input data.
Understanding Inference
Inference is when a trained AI model is actually used—taking input and producing output. Every time ChatGPT answers a question, that's inference. For AI visibility, inference is the moment of truth—when your content either gets cited or doesn't. Optimizing for inference means ensuring your content is retrievable, relevant, and structured in ways that make it easy for AI to include in responses.
